Dr. Rom Schrift, Ph.D.

Rom Schrift is a Senior Research Associate at Kivetz and Associates. He is a tenured Associate Professor of Marketing at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and previously was an Assistant Professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He earned his Ph.D. in Marketing from Columbia Business School. Prior to his academic career, Dr. Schrift worked as an R&D engineer and as a marketing research consultant, providing him with both technical and business perspectives.

Dr. Schrift is a leading scholar in marketing whose research focuses on consumer behavior, judgment and decision making, creativity, and consumer choice. His work examines how consumers evaluate information, make decisions, respond to marketing communications, and generate innovative ideas. He has served on the Editorial Review Boards of several leading marketing journals, and his research has been published in premier academic outlets, including the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Experimental Psychology, and Psychological Science. His research has received numerous honors, including multiple Best Paper awards and recognition as a finalist for the 2016 William F. O’Dell Award.

In addition to his academic research, Dr. Schrift has more than 17 years of experience teaching consumer behavior, decision making, and creativity. He has designed and led executive education programs and workshops for Fortune 500 companies and organizations around the world, helping leaders apply behavioral science to marketing, innovation, and strategic decision making.
